On July 10th, 2026, the Hart & Main venue in Newhall, California, was transformed into a sanctuary of celebration as Valencia Christian Center honored a remarkable milestone: the 40th wedding anniversary of our beloved pastors, Dr. Alicia and Dr. Henry Pigee´. The evening was more than just a vow renewal ceremony; it was a powerful testimony to God's faithfulness, the strength of covenant love, and the beauty of a life built on faith.

A Love Story Rooted in Faith

Alicia and Henry's journey began as teenagers, two young people who said "I do" with hearts full of hope and faith in God's plan. What many might have seen as an uncertain beginning became the foundation of a love story that would inspire generations. Married young, they faced the world together with nothing but their commitment to each other and their unwavering trust in God. I recall one sermon where they both said " it was us against the world."

Their union has never been without challenges. Like all marriages, theirs has weathered storms, overcome obstacles, and navigated seasons of testing. But what sets their love apart is the foundation upon which it stands: a relationship centered on God. Through every trial and triumph, they have demonstrated that when Christ is at the center, love thrives.

Building a Legacy of Faith and Family

Over the past four decades, God has blessed the Pigees with a beautiful family that is a testament to His grace and their faithfulness. In the midst of life's challenges and victories, they have raised 3 children, mentored countless spiritual sons and daughters, and built a church community that reflects the love of Christ.

A Celebration of Praise and Promise

The vow renewal ceremony at Hart & Main was nothing short of spectacular. The venue was filled with members of the Valencia Christian Center family, friends, and loved ones who came to witness and celebrate this sacred moment. The atmosphere was electric with praise, worship, and genuine celebration.

As they stood before God and their community to renew their vows, the spirit could be felt throughout the room. The ceremony was a beautiful reminder that love is not just a feeling—it's a choice, a commitment, and a covenant that grows stronger with time when rooted in faith.

The event reflected the impact these two servants of God have had on so many lives. People traveled from near and far to honor their pastors, to celebrate their love, and to give thanks for the example they have set for all of us.

A Vision for the Future

As we celebrate 40 years of the Pigees' marriage, we also celebrate the vision they carry for Valencia Christian Center. Their leadership has been marked by wisdom, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to seeing lives transformed by the power of God. They have built not just a church, but a family—a community where people are loved, equipped, and empowered to fulfill their God-given purpose. Looking ahead, we are excited about what God has in store for VCC under their continued leadership. The next chapter of their ministry promises to be filled with even greater impact, deeper community, and more souls brought into the Kingdom of God.

Our Commitment to Honor and Celebrate

To our pastors: Thank you for showing us what it means to love God first and each other always. Thank you for your sacrifice, your faithfulness, and your unwavering commitment to the call of God on your lives. Thank you for being living examples of what marriage can be when it's built on the solid foundation of Christ. As the Valencia Christian Center family, we are honored to walk alongside you. We celebrate your 40 years of marriage, and we look forward to many more years of celebrating your lives, your ministry, and the beautiful legacy you are building.

Here's to 40 years of love, faith, and ministry—and to the many blessings yet to come!

"Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." - Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
