Celebrating a Legacy: Mother Tommie Ward’s 95th Birthday at Valencia Christian Center

Today was a truly special day at Valencia Christian Center as we gathered to celebrate the remarkable life and legacy of Mother Tommie Ward. Affectionately known as “Mommie Tommie,” she turned 95 years young and our church family came together to honor this wonderful woman of God in a heartfelt service.

Mother Tommie is more than just a member—she is a living pillar of VCC. Having been with our church since its very beginning, her presence lights up every room she enters. Her radiant smile, encouraging words, and joyful spirit—often expressed through a spontaneous dance—have blessed generations of our congregation.

During the service, we showered her with flowers, gifts, and warm wishes, a small token of our deep gratitude and love for all she has poured into our church community. The celebration didn’t stop at the sanctuary doors; after service, we continued honoring Mommie Tommie with a beautiful luncheon, sharing laughter, stories, and fellowship.

Mother Tommie’s unwavering faith and joyful heart are an inspiration to all who know her. She reminds us daily of the power of steadfast love and the joy that comes from serving God and others.
